Schoolchildren paint mural in the heart of their village for all the world to see! Magical to watch this project unfold as young artists take real ownership of the mural, seeing their drawings and ideas take form on a previously unimaginable scale.

In March I was invited by Loretta Lau, a Hong Kong artist based in Prague, to take part in an amazing project. Her idea: interview 210 people over 21 days and talk to them about their life and experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Live!

Well, the wait is over.  They have blossomed.  I have painted them.  My new body of work is called 'Sakura' meaning cherry blossom.

Ceridwen, the fascinating Celtic Goddess from Wales who was also a sorceress,  an enchanter and a shape-shifter is the inspiration behind this wondrous vessel.

Hasu-Ko means 'Lotus-Child' and she has a sad but beautiful story.

The King of the land fell in love with and married the beautiful daughter of the Sun, Surya Bai.

A poem from childhood has stayed with me being captivated by it’s romance, simplicity and beauty.

There was an amazing calm in the air, which is unusual as seashores in Ireland tend to be windy places. Even on the warmest day there will be a breeze coming from somewhere!

anaïs nin (1903 - 1977) This will definitely inspire a painting...one of these days!

I felt the urge to paint mackerel.

I didn’t see any citrus trees whilst in Italy; but the colours of the fruit in the markets and the ever-changing blush of my breakfast ‘orange’ juice sparked something deep down.
