Moonjars, named for their opaque whiteness and almost perfect roundness, are striking ceramic vessels echoing the beautiful shape of the Moon. They seem on the one hand firmly grounded yet at the same time floating as a celestial orb; solid yet airy and filled with light; modest yet dignified and magnificent. With a touch of artistic imagination shapes and colours are modified to create these larger scale kintsugi vessels.
"Traditional Moonjars are creamy white - but not in my colour-imagination! Gazing into the reflected depths of the surface is like a meditation. Feel purity, tranquility, serenity. "
